Copy Cat: Youth Group Games

Quick Overview:

This is a great large group game with a lot of activity. It takes about 5-15 minutes to play. This is a great time for a battle between two teams (could be more if you have larger numbers) to copy what each person does!

Supplies You’ll Need:

1. Students.

2. Chairs.

Prep:

Get all your students seated in rows and broken into teams.

Game Play:

Separate teams evenly. Have them sit shoulder to shoulder (with one person per seat and multiple rows are fine) and sit with their team. The first person in the group will make a noise or do an action that the facilitator does. The next person must do it after the first person does, and then one person after another does it. The team that copies in order and fastest wins the point for that round. The first team to 10 wins. At the start of each round, the person who is last rotates to the first spot and everyone else rotates as well.

Here are a couple of things that might help as your playing this game!
  1. Have a pre made list of sounds and actions ready to go!
  2. We always make the last one a each person must run around the section of chairs!
  3. Make sure to watch for the cheaters that go out of turn! Discourage this by automatically giving the other team a point if one team goes out of turn.
