Bobbin For Cobs: Youth Group Games

Quick Overview:

Everyone loves the classic bobbin for apples but why not spice it up a little bit! We tried it with corn as it is currently in season and it was a hit!

Supplies You’ll Need:

1. Corn. Make sure you shuck it obviously. Depending on how many rounds you are going to do will determine the amount of corn you will need. Figure for each contestant you will need about 5 ears of corn each.
2. Water Buckets. You will need identical or as close to identical buckets. We have clear storage totes that we used and they worked perfect. You don’t want something super deep but also not to shallow.
3. Collection Buckets. This will be the bucket that the contestants will place the cobs in after they retrieve them from the water filled bucket

 

Prep:

Shuck your corn
Fill up your water buckets with water
Place your water buckets next to your collection buckets
All set, that’s all for this one!

 

Game Play:

Just like bobbin for apples you can do it a couple different ways. First you can play until someone has collected all of the cobs into their collection buckets. This may take to long so you might want to go with a 60 second timer. If no one gets a cobb in 60 seconds you can go into a sudden death round, first person to get a cobb wins!
